What is urban wildlife ?
They are the life we barely notice but that are here amongst us:
The mammals and birds. The reptiles and amphibians, The fish and marine life.
The insects and beneficial micro-organisms.
All together they keep our life-sustaining ecosystems working for us
as they go about their daily business, and as we go about ours.

But as cities and suburbs become more densely populated
we displace wildlife, destroy their homes,
eliminate their natural food sources, and completely transform their habitat
to accommodate our need for additional space.
​
We can and must do better.
Together we can create a more humane and compassionate world
for people, wildlife, and our beautiful living planet.
